Three Deliciously Simple Hip Flask Cocktail Recipes – Men's Society

You can never be too manly for a cocktail. Granted, a little paper umbrella poking out of the top might cramp your style but a classic Martini? Elegance personified. Now, imagine a refreshing cocktail in a manly hip flask.

The past meets the future.

Here are three really simple recipes to get you started. They're all designed for a five ounce hip flask.

The Toddy

A hip-flask variation of the winter classic Hot Toddy. The Hot Toddy is served hot (hence the name) but since hip flasks are made of metal, you might want to re-think that technicality.

Prepare in a cup or glass.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon.

Add 2 tablespoons of honey.

Pour in 4 ounces of whiskey.

Add a dash of water.

Funnel into your hip flask.

The Gimlet

Simple to make, delicious to drink.

Funnel three ounces of gin into your flask.

Add one ounce of lime juice.

Pour in a bit of sugar.

Great Gatsby

This is a summer classic. Usually served in a copper cup but let's forget that for now.

Make in a cup and funnel into your flask.

Start with an ounce of vodka.

Pour in an ounce of Lillet (a type of French wine).

Add two and a half ounces of grapefruit juice.

Funnel into your flask.
