How To Clean Chewing Gum From The Bottom Of Your Shoe

Nothing ruins your stride like a big glob of gum cementing itself to the sole of your shoe. It doesn't matter if you're a 10 stone hard-man. One look at that and we guarantee you're going to feel sick. Retching is the soundtrack of this cleaning process.

We've stood on our fair share of gum in our time. These are our fool-proof tips for getting gum off the bottom of your shoe (without actually touching it).

You will need

1 sandwich bag.

1 rubber glove (optional. recommended).

1 freezer/iglu/access to the North Pole.

1 sneaker cleaning kit.

The process

Put your shoe in the sandwich bag. Press the bag into the chewing gum and squeeze it on nice and hard.

Put the bag (with the shoe inside, obviously) into the freezer. Leave it overnight.

Put the glove on and take the shoe out of the freezer then peel off the bag. Most of the chewing gum should come off with it.

Grab your sneaker cleaning kit and pour the cleaning fluid into a glass or container.

Dip the brush (from the sneaker cleaning kit) in the fluid then scrub the sole of your shoe. The rest of the chewing gum should come off very quickly.

And now, this...

If you're not feeling too grossed out, watch this video. It's a shoe made out of chewing gum. Which is both weird and amazing in equal measure.
